Lady Gaga Is A Villain?

So, I was watching Lady Gaga's Bad Romance music video and made a (somewhat subtle) connection between the costume she is wearing and a villain from the cartoon show, The Powerpuff Girls.

I am specifically talking about the video at 3:33 when Lady Gaga is seen in a goldish-stone in crested all matching get-up.

DON'T GET ME WRONG. I love Lady Gaga. She's the shit and then some. However, that costume gives me the creeps just as much as the villain seen above.

AMERICA: Sticking it to China one inconvenience at a time!

Sooo I hear Google could possibly be pulling it's services out of China because of the country's stringent censorship issues the search powerhouse. It's really about Google packed up shop. And some are saying Microsoft should follow suit. I guess this is a considerable step towards standing up to the notorious media controllers in China. Freedom of information is so important to many people and "filtering" of any information goes against so much of what America stands for.

Not to be cynical, but perhaps we should stop paying this country that encourages the limitation/denial of human rights, amongst other atrocities, to make our stuff. AND bring back our factories and manufacturers back home. Not only would that help Americans find jobs, but cripple the Chinese government.

I'm sure all these things I've talked about would be incredible difficult to make reality and there's so much econmic stuff I would never understand. But I guess there's nothing with dreaming...

Google out of China

REALLY. REALLY?

As some of you might know (even if you don't, I'm just going to tell you anyway!)Emma Watson, that chick from Harry Potter, is now doing ads for Burberry along side her brother Alex. I'm glad she found a job! But that's besides the point.

There a specific photo that has come under scrutiny. Here's the link to the article I'm talking about:

This article brings up Emma's "Missing Leg" and if it has been photoshoped out of the picture.

I'm not ok with this stupidity. Although the article did bring up the possibility that this "missing leg" might be caused by an awkward pose, it rushes to judgement saying there's a greater possibility that it has been photoshopped out.

#1: WHO CARES. Some of us really don't and seeing this in my email's news feed is aggravating.

#2: HONESTLY. Let's not think the worst of things people! Look at her. She's tiny! And look at the size of the leg that's showing. IT'S TINY TOO! Woah, I bet that blew your mind right there... If shes posing with her leg bent behind her brother, it's not long enough to show past his pant leg, which is quite wide.

And secondly, why would someone do a crap job taking the rest of the leg out, making it look awkward, when they could just photoshop that leg to make it look presentable?

I'm not saying there's no photoshopping going on here. It happens in a lot of ads and magazine covers. And I'm not bashing photoshopping either, considering that's what I want to do with my life. I am simply saying that people need to think and rationalize what they are seeing before they open their big mouths and sound stupid.

I Love The Internet

There's no way around it. I love the internet. Over this winter break I haven't had the internet at my disposal. I mean, I can live without it, I don't crave it as much as I would think, but when I do have it, I love it! It's really quite amazing how versatile this outlet is.
